I received a BA in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge in 2000, and my PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2007. I have lived in Uganda since 2007, working as faculty of Makerere University, and from late 2013 as a Data Scientist for United Nations Global Pulse. I have also spent time working at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Sapient Corporation, Medical Emergency Relief International, the medical monitoring systems company Clevermed, and the neonatal unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. I am originally from Inverness in the North of Scotland.
